Saif Hashmi

Saif Hashmi is a seasoned professional in venture capital, currently serving as Principal for the Seed Venture Fund and IT Venture Fund at BDC since October 2016, where BDC Venture Capital stands as Canada’s largest early-stage technology investor with over $3 billion under management. In addition to this role, Saif Hashmi holds multiple board positions, including Board Director at GlitchSecure, ShopVision, and a Chair of the Board of Directors at Styx Intelligence. Other notable engagements include serving as Strategic Advisor at MT>Ventures and Board Observer roles at Vendasta, Nicoya, Mojio, Mosaic Manufacturing, and Solink. Saif Hashmi earned a B.A. Joint Honors in Economics and Finance from McGill University and is also educated at The City School.
