Andrew Wachtel

Andrew Wachtel is the current Director of Educational Programs at inDrive since January 2023 and has served as the Director at Compass College since September 2021. Wachtel worked as an Independent Consultant from May 2020 to August 2023 and held the position of Rektor (President) at Narxoz University from June 2018 to May 2020. Previously, Wachtel was the President of the American University of Central Asia from 2010 to May 2018, where an innovative approach to liberal arts education was implemented in Kyrgyzstan. Wachtel also served as the Dean of The Graduate School at Northwestern University from 2004 to 2010. Wachtel holds a PhD in Slavic Languages and Literatures from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in History and Literature from Harvard University.
